About the Tour

The Town & Country Studio Tour was founded in 2004 to bring the public into artists' working studios for a weekend self-guided tour and sale. The Studio Tour offers visitors insight into the creative process, work-life and work-environment and provides an opportunity for people to purchase original works directly from their makers.

The tour was dreamed up by Jan Juday.  After experiencing studio tours in other towns, Jan decided that the time had come for Spokane to experience its own studio arts tour. Taking the good parts of other tours and adding some creative elements of her own, Jan set about gathering an eclectic and talented group of artists.

By placing artists of differing mediums at each stop on the tour, the art enthusiast can discover and enjoy various forms of art. Each studio is a totally unique experience, bringing together watercolor, silk painting, acrylic, pottery, photography, glass, oil, collage, sculpted dolls, weaving, mixed media, and more!
